Forbiden Throne Slot Review
Forbidden Throne is your typical epic/fantasy-themed slot made real by Microgaming.
Microgaming has a previous track record when it comes to these games, with titles such as Game of Thrones, Avalon and its successor laying the groundwork for Forbidden Thrones.
Unfortunately, this game doesn’t compare to those slots and is a little lighter on the features than its counterparts, even if it does contain considerably better graphics.
Wagering and Prizes
This is a slot machine which doesn’t pull many surprises.
There are forty paylines spread over a five-reel structure and players are going to find those lines fixed to the reels.
Wagers can increase from a minimum of €0.40 per spin up to a maximum bet of €800.00.
Prizes are pretty petite, too. The most you can hope to win from Forbidden Throne is only roughly 12x your total stake, paid out when five wilds land on a line.
The return to player rate is modest but acceptable, at 96.01%.
As is often the case with Microgaming slots, the game’s logo is the wild symbol.
This wild can replace all other symbols in the slot save for scatters and doubles up as the best-paying icon in the game.
Scatter icons appear as swirly, glowing orbs. These symbols can trigger a free spin bonus when they appear 3, 4 or 5 times in any position on the reels.
On every single spin in the game, one of the characters will appear as a stacked icon on a reel.
This character will appear as a wild and can bolster your chances of landing a considerable win.
While this occurs frequently, the wins are small in stature, so it doesn’t make too much difference to your gameplay unless they appear on the first three reels.
Most of the time, they do tend to show up on the last reels (4 and 5) of the slot, though.
The free spin bonus is rather basic, too. Players will start the bonus round with either 10, 20 or 30 free spins, depending on whether they landed 3, 4 or 5 of the scatter icons on the reels.
During those spins, players can retrigger the bonus feature by landing more scatters on the reels.
Somewhat disappointingly, players cannot bag any additional goodies, such as multipliers during this free spin bonus round.
What’s our verdict of Forbidden Throne?
Although the gameplay of Forbidden Throne is quite simple it is possible to win up to 500 times your stake with each spin.
